July 1st, 2013
After several months of being on hold, it was announced today that Jimmy Buffett will open a new Margaritaville restaurant in Pigeon Forge, TN:
The restaurant, which has locations all over the world, will feature casual dining, a bar, live entertainment, and a retail store. It will be located in The Island in Pigeon Forge, which recently opened.
It’s set to open on Valentines Day, 2014.
“To say our partners are excited about having Margaritaville on The Island is an understatement. Their commitment to providing guests with a fun experience in a family-friendly environment is a perfect fit for The Island,” said Bob McManus, partner in The Island development.
Pigeon Forge Mayor, David Wear commented, “Margaritaville has locations from Key West to Montego Bay to Waikiki, so it’s a real treat to see Pigeon Forge added to that impressive list. Margaritaville’s decision to open here is a testament to Pigeon Forge’s strength as a tourism destination, and I am delighted to welcome them to town. I look forward to the entertainment, job creation and boost to the economy that Margaritaville represents.”
