Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band are back on the road tonight after three weeks off. The This One’s For You Tour heads to Bethel, New York for a show at the Bethel Woods Center, site of the legendary 1969 Woodstock music festival. It’ll be the first time Buffett performs at the site.

You can watch the show live on Margaritaville TV! The pre-show broadcast will begin around 7:30pm ET, with Buffett taking the stage shortly after 8:00pm ET.

The show will also be broadcast live on Radio Margaritaville, on the web or on SiriusXM.

The July leg of the This One’s For You Tour will also make stops in Mansfield MA, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Detroit.

After five years in business, Jimmy Buffett’s at the Beachcomber restaurant is closing.

“They did ask, and we did grant an early termination on August 31, of their restaurant lease,” confirmed Nancy Daniels, director of public relations for Outrigger Enterprises Group, which manages the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort.

The restaurant’s general manager was not immediately available for comment, and corporate officials and their representatives did not immediately return calls.

The restaurant opened in 2009 and for a time became the home of the popular Saturday morning Perry and Price broadcast on KSSK-FM 92.3/AM 590.

A Margaritaville-branded e-cigarette?

The Orlando Business Journal noticed an interesting trademark application filed by Margaritaville Enterprises LLC:

Is Jimmy Buffett — the Jimmy Buffett — getting ready to start selling electronic cigarettes in Florida? Or, with a bigger question mark, marijuana products?

Notice the question marks: Mr. Margaritaville didn’t return my call, and neither did the attorneys on this, so this is all unconfirmed right now.

But according to a trademark filed in January of this year, Margaritaville Enterprises LLC wants to trademark the term Coral Reefer.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office application, the trademark would be used to sell goods and services related to electronic cigarettes:

Electronic cigarettes; cigarettes; cigars; tobacco; herbs for smoking; cigarette holders; cigarette lighters; ashtrays, humidors, cigar cutters, hookahs, matches, cigar and cigarette boxes, cigarette papers, cigarette rolling machines, pocket apparatus for rolling cigarettes, smoking urns, tobacco substitute, tobacco tins; tobacco pouches; electronic cigarette refill cartridges sold empty; smoking pipes, smoking pipe cleaners, smoking pipe racks; smokeless cigar and cigarette vaporizers; tobacco grinders.

The feds have returned the application to Margaritaville to seek clarification that the applicant’s goods do not include anything marijuana related.
