Tickets to the October Jimmy Buffett shows in Chula Vista and Mountain View, California went on sale Monday morning at 10 am PDT through TicketMaster.

Tickets for Jimmy Buffett’s 2008 Year Of Still Here Tour continue to sell at a brisk pace.

TicketNews reports that Buffett was number three in Top Concert Events for the week ending April 6th, up from number four a week ago. On the overall list, Buffett comes in at number eight.

In mid-March, Buffett peaked at number one on both the Overall Events list and the Top Concerts list.

Most shows are sold out, but at the time of this writing tickets are still available through TicketMaster for the following shows:

While the show is free, fans will need a ticket to get into the gig, and pairs of tickets can be won beginning Tuesday, April 1, through these media outlets: Margaritaville.com , New Times , KNIX 102.5, MIX 96.9, KEZ 99.9, KFYI 550, XTRA 910, 944 Magazine and Radio Margaritaville. Tickets can also be won at the Glendale Margaritaville location, as the restaurant will be drawing to give away 60 tickets daily.

Doors for he Glendale show open at 4:30 and Buffett, who will be accompanied by longtime backing guitarist Mac MacAnally, play at 5:30.

Update – Radio Margaritaville will broadcast the show live! Join Miles Hampton for the pre-show from 6pm – 9pm eastern time. Jimmy will then take the stage for an intimate, free concert.

Radio Margaritaville will be giving away tickets on the air: Tickets are available free by phoning Radio Margaritaville on Thursday April 3, 2008 after specific announcements to call in are made during the Noon, 2pm, 5pm, 7pm and 10pm Eastern hours. Tickets are currently on sale via TicketMaster for the June show in New York City and the August show in Atlantic City.
