Jimmy Buffett and his brother-in-law Tom McGuane appear in a new film called ‘All That Is Sacred’ that is being shown at the Telluride Film Festival this week.

The idea that the small, remote island city was a hotbed for one of the last great counterculture arts scenes — particularly for prose writers, but also with some music mixed in — is the focus of a new short film about the Key West scene of 50 years ago, “All That Is Sacred.” The 34-minute movie, which stars the famous novelist Tom McGuane and writer-musician Jimmy Buffett, has its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend.

Jimmy Buffett and Snoop Dogg wrote a new song together for the soundtrack to ‘The Beach Bum’ movie that hits theaters March 29th.

Harmony Korine’s new film The Beach Bum hits U.S. theaters on March 29 (via NEON). The comedy stars Matthew McConaughey as the Floridian burnout Moondog, as well as Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Jimmy Buffett, Isla Fisher, and others.

Today, the soundtrack has been announced. The Beach Bum (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is out March 22 via Milan Records. The album includes John Debney’s score, as well as an original song called “Moonfog,” written by Jimmy Buffett and Snoop Dogg and performed by Buffett.

A Hollywood Reporter article about Jimmy Buffett’s relationship with Frank Marshall revealed that Jimmy will make another cameo in the Jurassic Park franchise, appearing in this summer’s ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.’

“I like to put him in a movie once in a while,” says Frank Marshall of Jimmy Buffett, who has uncredited cameos in both Jurassic World movies, including June’s Fallen Kingdom. “And he puts me onstage once in a while at his concerts.”

Buffett appeared in 2015’s ‘Jurassic World’ when he rescued two margaritas as Main Street came under attack.

He plays a stoner in the upcoming comedy The Beach Bum. And Matthew McConaughey was totally in character as he continued filming scenes for the upcoming film in Miami on Wednesday, pretending to puff away on a fake joint as he stood behind a microphone on stage alongside Jimmy Buffett.

Even Matthew’s co-star, 70, pretended to smoke as well, flashing a relaxed smile as he sat beside the actor beside the beach while holding onto the faux joint.

The scene saw Matthew standing behind a microphone as he held a notebook and clutched the fake joint.
Dressed from head-to-toe in his character’s trademark funky wear, Matthew looked slightly disheveled as he wore a long blonde wig, unbuttoned tropical print shirt, and matching shorts.

The pair sure seemed to be having some fun as they hit the stage together, delighting the adoring audience.
Jimmy rocked a red T-shirt with palm tree design, bright neon blue shorts, and a hat.
