Buffett to Play Private Show at Mohegan Sun Margaritaville Today

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will perform a private show for about 600 people today at the new Margaritaville Cafe at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. The guests include parrotheads, local VIP guests, and 40 radio winners.

The doors open at 4:00 pm ET and the show starts at 5:00 pm ET.

Radio Margaritaville will broadcast the show live on Sirius 31 and on the web at www.radiomargaritaville.com. Carson Cooper will be on with the pre-show at 3:30 pm ET.

Buffett Performs for Barack Obama at Tampa Rally

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band performed for Barack Obama in Tampa, Florida on Sunday afternoon. 20,000 attended the “Last Chance For Change Rally” at the Ford Amphitheater. A sign outside the event said “I’m Barack Obama, and I approve this concert”.

2008 Year Of Still Here Tour Ends in Las Vegas

The 2008 Year Of Still Here Tour came to an end Saturday night with the second of two shows from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The set list was largely unchanged from other recent shows, but Buffett did debut a cover of Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers.” It was the first known time that Jimmy has performed this song live.

There are also a few rumors swirling around out there about possible shows in February in Hawaii and Tahiti. The latter is typically mentioned every year and never comes to fruition.

Buffett Continues Tour in Mountain View, CA

The 2008 Year Of Still Here Tour continued Tuesday night with a show from the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California… a suburb of San Francisco.

The set list was largely unchanged, though the rarely-played “Coast of Marseilles” finished out the show as the final encore.
