Buffett to Play New Orleans Jazz Festival

Jimmy Buffett will return to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this Spring.

The Jazz Fest info says that Buffett will appear not with the Coral Reefer Band, but with a smaller, unplugged ensemble dubbed the Acoustic Airmen. They’ll perform on Sunday, April 29th.

Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Sting, Jack White, Jimmy Buffett, Beck, Smokey Robinson, Charlie Wilson, Lionel Richie, Lyle Lovett, Common, Bonnie Raitt, Sturgill Simpson, David Byrne and Jack Johnson are headed to the 2018 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

They’ll join the hundreds of indigenous Louisiana musicians who make up the foundation of the festival at the Fair Grounds Race Course this spring.

The 49th edition of what is formally the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival presented by Shell is April 27-29 and May 3-6.

Other “visiting” artists on the roster include Sheryl Crow, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Juanes, Jason Isbell, Toots & the Maytals, Cage the Elephant, the Steve Miller Band, Buddy Guy, Khalid, Delbert McClinton and Dianne Reeves.
