Jimmy Buffett’s latest Margaritaville opened yesterday in Panama City, Florida, and the Panama City News Herald has an article on it, along with a video that includes interviews with patrons and the store manager Mark Whitmer:

Jimmy Buffett hasn’t arrived yet, but spring breakers, families and other parrotheads attended the opening of Buffett’s Margaritaville in Pier Park on Wednesday.

Balloon hats rested comfortably on top of several patrons’ noggins, while bartenders served up interestingly named drinks, including Why Don’t We Get Drunk & …, Last Mango in Paris and Off to See the Lizard.

Manager Mike Whitmer said the restaurant’s live entertainment and atmosphere will be competing for the Spring Break dollar.

We have received word that Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will play the Riverbend Amphitheater in Cincinnati, OH on Thursday, July 17th.

On sale date for tickets is unknown at this time, but will likely be within the next two weeks.

Jimmy Buffett’s latest Margaritaville opens today in Panama City, Florida at the brand new Pier Park retail and entertainment center.

Radio Margaritaville will broadcast live from 4-8 pm central time, so be sure to tune in!

Diners to the new Margaritaville will be able to sit outside at the restaurant’s Front Beach location and delight in a spectacular view of the Gulf’s blue waters and sugar-white beaches.

This makes the sixth Margaritaville that Buffett has opened in the states: Key West, New Orleans, Orlando, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and Phoenix. International locations include Jamaica, Cancun, Cozumel, Grand Turk, and Grand Cayman. Another Margaritaville will open at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut in the fall of this year.

Tickets will be available via presale this morning at 10 am EST for the June 14th concert at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. This is your chance to get good seats before tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday.

Another tour date has been added to this year’s The Year Of Still Here Tour: Monday, April 21st at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, Texas.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 15th at 10 am via TicketMaster.

Buffett last played in Woodlands on April 15th, 2003. Last year in April, he played a show at Minute Maid Park.
