Buffett plays show in Honolulu, Hawaii

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band continued the 2007 Bama Breeze tour with a show from the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, Hawaii on Thursday night.

The set list included some rare songs like “Cowboy In The Jungle,” “The Tiki Bar Is Open,” “Dukes On Sunday,” and “Back to the Island.”

Buffett sues Six Flags theme parks

Jimmy Buffett is suing Six Flags theme parks over a name dispute:

Buffett claims the Six Flags’s Carrothead Club infringes his trademark on Parrotheads, a name associated with his Hawaiian-shirt-wearing devotees. The move has stunned Six Flags, responsible for 20 theme parks.

Representative Wendy Goldberg tells New York gossip column PageSix.com, “I’m not sure how the concept of children in foam carrot hats is going to be confused with significantly older Hawaiian shirt-wearing, margarita-swilling Parrotheads. Clearly imitation wasn’t what we had in mind!”
