Buffett and Atwood give library $75K
August 5th, 2007
The Sun Herald has an article on Buffett and Charles Atwood making a generous donation to the Pascagoula Public Library:
The branch manager of the Pascagoula Public Library said she was speechless when she learned Pascagoula natives Jimmy Buffett and Charles Atwood were joining forces and checkbooks to fund a much-needed project at the library.
The two gave Friends of the Pascagoula Library $75,000 to renovate the second floor area so it will match the first floor, which was remodeled after Hurricane Katrina.
Buffett’s “Singing For Change” charitable foundation also donated seven Hewlett-Packard computers to the library, which will be used in the teen area upstairs.
