Contrary to the Jimmy Buffett song that inspired the Margaritaville line of seafood products, you won’t be “wastin’ away … in Margaritaville” because the coconut shrimp packs plenty of sun-drenched island flavor, along with a volcanic eruption of calories and fat grams.

Here’s the blueprint: 24-30 extra-large shrimp, butterflied and dredged in coconut breading, then deep-fried and flash-frozen. The box contains two pouches of sweet-and-spicy dipping sauce.

Margaritaville to Sponsor Jamaican Dog Sled Team

They already have a bobsled team. Now they have a dog sled team.

Margaritaville is proud to announce their sponsorship of the first ever Jamaican Dog Sled Team. The team, composed of dogs rescued from Jamaican pounds, is currently training on the island in preparation for competition in Scotland later this year. Stay tuned for even more information!

Article on Virginia License Plates

The Gainesville Times has an article on the Virginia Parrothead License Plates.

What you’ve been seeing a lot of since March 2004 is the official Virginia parrot head license plate. As of Oct. 31, 2005, according to the Department of Motor Vehicles, 8,719 such plates have been issued.
