A Chicago City Council committee has approved a plan for Jimmy Buffett to perform an evening concert and an afternoon concert at Wrigley Field over Labor Day weekend.

Under the plan, the Chicago Cubs also agreed to donate 150,000 dollars of the concerts’ proceeds to neighborhood schools and reserve several thousand seats for people who live within one mile of the stadium.

The Buffett concert on Sunday, September 4th would end no later than 10:30 pm, and the other show on Monday, September 5th would be over by 6 pm.

Attendance at both concerts would be capped at 39,500.

Cubs officials also agreed to hold 29 instead of 30 night games in 2006 in order to analyze the affect of a proposed 17-hundred-90 bleacher seat expansion expected to be completed before the start of that season.
