The February 10th benefit concert in Tallahassee, Florida raised $660,000 for the United Way of the Big Bend.

The nonprofit announced Wednesday the community raised $7,798,830 at its 2006 campaign Celebration held at the University Center Club, according to a release. That’s a seven percent increase from 2005.

“This was just a banner year for the United Way,” said spokeswoman Heather Mitchell.
