According to the Peoria Journal Star Jimmy Buffett will be playing a show in South Beach tonight:

“Jimmy Buffett is playing Saturday night at the Clevelander, down on South Beach,” the fellow said. “I heard it’s like $500 to get in, but you’ll be able to stand out on the beach and hear him.”

Tonight on Radio Margaritaville, Savannah Jane mentioned that Jimmy will perform at the New Orleans Jazz Fest this year.

Jimmy Buffett has been nominated for a CMT Music Award in the category Wide Open Country Video Of The Year for his video “Bama Breeze.”

This year introduces the new Wide Open country video of the year category, nominees for which include Jimmy Buffett’s “Bama Breeze,” Sheryl Crow and Sting’s “Always on Your Side” and Willie Nelson’s “You Don’t Know Me.” The honor is intended for “artists who stretch the boundaries of mainstream country music,” according to CMT.

The 2007 CMT Music Awards will be held April 16 at Nashville’s Curb Event Center. Voting begins today (Feb. 1) on CMT.com; eight nominees in each category will be whittled to four by Feb. 28.

Rumor has it that Jimmy will play a benefit show on the island of Anguilla in the British West Indies on Saturday, March 24th at the Dune Preserve, which is on Rendezvous Bay.
