Jimmy Buffett wasn’t planning on performing at this year’s New Orleans Jazz Fest, but after a cancellation by Eddie Vedder he’ll fill in on Thursday, May 3rd.

An acoustic performance by Jimmy Buffett will fill the Eddie Vedder vacancy Thursday, May 3 for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Buffett will play with Mac McAnally to fill the slot left open by Eddie Vedder, after Vedder was forced to cancel his set to heal nerve damage to his right arm.

Other acts scheduled for the day include Florence + the Machine, Esperanza Spalding, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Ani DiFranco and James Cotton.

Jimmy and Mac will play the Acura Stage at 5:40 pm.

Jimmy Buffett will perform Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas this May as part of his Lounging at the Lagoon Tour.

The show will be held Wednesday, May 30th at 8 pm.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 13th at 10 am.

The Houston Press reports that Jimmy Buffett will be returning to Houston this summer for a concert at the Woodlands:
