An official lyric music video has been published for the Jimmy Buffett / Snoop Dogg song ‘Moonfog’ from the 2019 film ‘The Beach Bum.’

In honor of Korine’s “The Beach Bum” arriving on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD, courtesy of NEON, we are happy to share an exclusive music video that encapsulates the best that “The Beach Bum” has to offer in a more appropriate way than any trailer. The music video is for the Jimmy Buffett/Snoop Dogg collaboration (yes, you read that right, the song is co-written by the duo and performed by Buffett), titled “Moonfog.”

The lyric video shows some glimpses at McConaughey’s performance as Moon Dog in “The Beach Bum,” while also giving fans of Buffett’s music a new song to hum along with for the rest of the day. And though the idea of Buffett, Snoop, and McConaughey combining for a new project sounds completely nuts, it works and illustrates just why Korine’s latest is too strange to pass up.

Jimmy Buffett and Caroline Jones are releasing a single of their live performance of Buffett’s “Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On” song from November’s hurricane relief concert in Tallahassee. From Yahoo:

Jones noted of the collaboration: “Jimmy is authentic to his message through and through. Performing the song at the Trying To Reason Hurricane Benefit was a goosebump moment for me. Jimmy Buffett was able to nab Toby Keith for his new single “Too Drunk to Karaoke”, but a couple years ago Keith was unable to get Buffett for one of his songs that became a big hit:

“I always talk about Willie and Hag (Merle Haggard) and people like that. Guys like Jimmy Buffett were just as big of an influence on me growing up as anybody,” Keith said.

Keith, who recorded the albums “Unleashed” and “Shock’n Y’all” in Buffett’s Florida studios, said he offered “Red Solo Cup” to the Margaritaville singer as a duet in 2011, but then went on with it himself. Buffett reached out to Keith for “Too Drunk to Karaoke.”

“To me, to work with Jimmy Buffett is a feather in my hat. I think the guy’s brilliant in what he does,” Keith said.
