Super Bowl bash at newly opened Margaritaville
December 16th, 2007
From the Arizona Republic:
With all the buzz about Super Bowl parties in Scottsdale, NFL agents Eugene Parker and Roosevelt Barnes wanted to make sure the West Valley – home of Super Bowl XLII – wasn’t left out.
The duo’s Maximum Sports Management is throwing “Big Game Bash ’08” at the newly opened Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Café at Westgate City Center, just a stone’s throw from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
Among the celebrities confirmed: former Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith, the Cardinals’ own Larry Fitzgerald, Academy Award nominated actor Michael Clark Duncan of The Green Mile fame, pro beach volleyball’s Holly McPeak, softball phenom Jennie Finch and former NFL players Deion Sanders, Curtis Martin and Jerome “The Bus” Bettis.
The Feb. 1 party, which gets under way at 9 p.m., benefits a number of charities, including the Pat Tillman Foundation, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Packages from Home. Tickets are $1,500 each. Details: http://www.msmbiggamebash.com.
