Buffett Playing in South Beach Tonight

According to the Peoria Journal Star Jimmy Buffett will be playing a show in South Beach tonight:

“Jimmy Buffett is playing Saturday night at the Clevelander, down on South Beach,” the fellow said. “I heard it’s like $500 to get in, but you’ll be able to stand out on the beach and hear him.”

Buffett Gets CMT Music Awards Nomination

Jimmy Buffett has been nominated for a CMT Music Award in the category Wide Open Country Video Of The Year for his video “Bama Breeze.”

This year introduces the new Wide Open country video of the year category, nominees for which include Jimmy Buffett’s “Bama Breeze,” Sheryl Crow and Sting’s “Always on Your Side” and Willie Nelson’s “You Don’t Know Me.” The honor is intended for “artists who stretch the boundaries of mainstream country music,” according to CMT.

Here are the other nominees in the category:

Alison Krauss and Union Station – “If I Didn’t Know Any Better”
Jack Ingram – “Love You”
Johnny Cash – “God’s Gonna Cut you Down”
Pat Green – “Dixie Lullaby”
Sheryl Crow and Sting – “Always On Your Side”
