The Star Tribune has an article about Buffett’s influence on country music.

Kenny Chesney isn’t the only singer in Nashville who has caught the beach bug.

“I think everybody’s a Jimmy Buffett wannabe,” Chesney said. “Deep down, Jimmy was always a country artist. His songs had a country soul to them.”

The Nissan Pavilion is confirming that Buffett will bring his Salty Piece of Land Tour there on Wednesday, June 15th.

Tickets go on sale this saturday at 10 am. Prices are $86 for reserved and $36 for lawn.

Buffett will definately play the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasvile, CT on Friday, June 17th, according to an official at the casino.

Update: Tickets will go on sale April 18th. Prices will be $201, $156, $96, and $66.

A source with the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Indy has told us that Buffett will play there on Wednesday, August 31st.

Tickets are to go on sale March 28th at 10 am.
