I am camping out at a friends farm this Thursday July 2. It is a get together among other campers.
(Basically like tailgating - )

It is supposed to be more mild but I was wondering if anyone had any cold food ideas. I will be arriving late Thursday afternoon and departing before noon on Friday so a good dinner idea would be all I would need. I am thinking about just getting Subway Subs or something like that. Thanks,

Last night was feeling lazy and just raided the fridge for dinner. I ended up with smoked deli-sliced turkey and pepperjack cheese on potato bread, nothing else on it, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.

I LOVE cold left over fried chicken Pasta salad...potato salad...regular salad...YUM! Fruit salad....cheese and crackers or a nice rustic bread with some paramasiano reggiano with a nice bottle of wine...chips and home made salsa....aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh I'm hungry!

Wishing I was still in St. John because I think I have found me a home.

Well, we ended up making cold cut sandwiches (ham etc) plus some macaroni salad with potato chips. The hosts of the camp out ordered 100 chicken wings so we had enough to get our belly's full that night. A great time was had by all.
