Why are those hard boiled eggs
pink???

Dem be pickled eggs! Hard boiled eggs cured in a big jar of beets, beet juice, sugar, vinegar and spices. They are sooo yummy!

Beets?

I like beets but i don't think i would like pickeled eggs!

perhaps it's an acquired taste, they don't taste like beets though...
I probably 99% of the bars in OK will have a gallon jar of them sitting on the bar.
No..they don't taste like beets. But I do like the pickled beets, too. My Granddady made these regularly when I was growing up. So I acquired the taste early

And yep...they are in a lot of bars and pubs here, too

Ok that is absolutely SAVAGE!!!! In the name of all that is holy!!! WHY would a bar have THAT as a snack????

If someone sitting next to me started munching on one of those I would probably fall off of my chair

Where do you guys come up with this shit?

i am soooooooooooooooooo with you on that one Beth!!!!!

I mean don't they believe in peanuts or pretzels down South? They have to come up with pink freakin' hard boiled eggs?

pink is from the beet juice....I've seen them mostly in the liquid from dill pickles.. that give them a somewhat slight greenish hue..
and actually, I've not seen any in any bar in Georgia that I've been in...

OK's not South, I dunno what it is...damn sure isn't North, West, maybe? certainly not East....
probably just redneck, but these weren't just redneck bars...
yeah, they do the peanut and pretzel thing, too...one Irish bar you shell your own peanuts and throw the hulls on the floor...
