Jimmy Number 5 Money Maker in ’04

Rolling Stone reports that Jimmy Buffett came in at number five on their annual list of music top fifty earners. Buffett rose 12 places this year, bringing in 36.5 million. In 2003 he came in at number 17. Ahead of him were Prince, Madonna, Metallica, and Elton John.

The article also mentions that Buffett’s Margaritaville chain of retail stores, nightclubs and restaurants generates an eight-figure income.
